Favourite “Go-to” make up products – Neutral colours

You know how sometimes when you want to put your make up on and can’t decide what look you want to go for. I seem to always gravitate towards a gorgeous neutral coloured look for my casual but put dress make up looks mostly for occasions such as shopping, going to the movies and just if i want to wear a full face of make up.

I thought why not gather all my products i reach for most of the time and show you guys! I think i gravitate towards neutral colours because i have a light olive skin tone, medium to dark brown hair and hazel coloured eyes, the colours always seem to emphasize this. Neutral colours seem to compliment my skin tone and eye colour, plus there’s no real chance of making a mistake when using neutral colours.

The face products

The first product is Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, I love to use this as it really blurs your pores and I use this mostly around my nose, forehead and chin area. I then start to tap and blend my foundation with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge. The foundation I am currently loving is Cover Girl – Ready Set Gorgeous in the colour 210 Medium Beige. I have found this foundation to be such good coverage but it does not feel heavy or thick on your skin and it gives a nice look to the skin. I use Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in a triangle under my eyes to conceal my dark circles, i also pat this in with my sponge. Afterwards, I quickly get some of my E.L.F Studio High Definition Translucent powder to set the concealer and to stop creasing, then follow up with powdering the rest of my face lightly to set my foundation with my Face of Australia Translucent powder. Following this, I then use Hoola bronzer by Benefit to lightly add some colour to frame my face and slightly contour, then add my E.L.F blush in tickled pink, then I highlight on my cheekbones, cupids bow, slightly on the nose and brow bone with my Chi Chi Cosmetics Bronze wall of shimmer.  I use MAC Fix + to sprits over my face to settle the powders.

The eye products

My absolute first step for my eyes is to fill in those eye brows! I use Anastasia Beverley Hills Dipbrown Pomade in Dark brown to fill them in and to give them definition then go over this with my Maybelline Browdrama to set the brow hairs in place. My next step is to then prime my eyes and for this i use Elizabeth Arden Advanced Eye fix Primer which gives a base to my eye shadows as well. From there, i set it with translucent powder then use my Morphe Brushes Eye shadow palette 35N Matte Colours. The medium shade i use as a transition colour, the dark shade i use as my crease colour and the light shade i put on the lid, sometimes i add a little bit of my bronze wall of shimmer to give it a bit of dimension. Sometimes, not all the time I will do some eye liner with a small wing using my NYX Super skinny eye marker in black, its great to get a thin line and flick. My favourite mascara of all time has been my Its so Big Mascara by Elizabeth Mott. This mascara magically gives me lovely looking lashes as I dont have long thick eye lashes :(.

The lip products
IMG_4905The lips are one of my favourite steps to do, just because it finishes the look off and gives definition to my thin little lips haha. I like to line my lips, sometimes just on the edge to make them appear slightly thicker. I use my Chi Chi Cosmetics Stay on Lip liner in Totally Nude. I am inlove with my only MAC lipstick which is Velvet Teddy which is what i use after lining. To give my lips a bit of a glossy look, Ill use my Nyx Butter gloss in Creme Brulee’.

Ill then go and spritz my face again with MAC Fix + and then I am set. I have been loving curling my hair just off late. I use the NUME classic curling wand which i think is 32mm.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my favourite go to products. What are your favourite go to products! What would you recommend to try!? Comment below.
