Hiii Friends! Today I’m going to show you how I did this look. I got inspired by one of my favourite you tubers, Gangemistyles. It’s all around a winged eye look and red lips 🙂
First of all, the base to this look is matte, so I chose matte face base products. I decided not to use a primer for this look as the only ones I have make the face dewy which I didn’t want.
For my foundation, I used Rimmel Stay Matte in soft beige. This foundation is thick but goes onto the face nicely. I used my real techniques stippling brush and stipple then buffed it onto my skin. I tried not to cover my under eye area with this as I wanted to use concealer in this area. I used L’Oréal True Match in beige under my eyes as this brightens the area up. I use my finger to lightly pat the concealer and blend it.
After putting the cream products on I have then used a highlighting setting pressed powder. It’s from Daiso. I love this because it has three colours to it; blue, yellow and white which helps with under eye circles. I used this with a Eco Blush brush.
I have then moved on to sculpting my cheek bones and bringing some colour to my face. I used a inexpensive bronzer which is the Kmart brand, LOL. It’s a matte bronzing powder in the colour brown sugar. I used this with a medium contouring brush from Elf. For my cheeks I have used my Elf blush in Tickled Pink.
For my eyes, I used a Naked 2 pallete. This is not the real Urban Decay palette, the colours are still quite nice though and pigmented. I used the colour ‘Verve’ for my crease, then ‘Booty Call’ for the lid and ‘Black out’ for the outer v area for a small amount of definition. I also used another Daiso product called Pearl in eye shadow, I used the white colour in my inner corner to brighten the eyes up. I used a flat eye shadow brush from the pallete and a blending brush because the colours need to blend so there are no harsh lines.
Now I never forget my eye brows. I used my Daiso eye brow pencil to fill in my eye brows.
I then used my Elf Cream eyeliner to make my wing. I used a small angle brush which actually comes with the eyeliner. It’s such an easy eyeliner to use. The angled brush is sturdy and makes it easy to create the outline. The eyeliner glides on so nicely.
For my lashes, as I haven’t got long luscious eye lashes I used some faux eye lashes that I bought from EBay. I used a pair of tweezers to place them on. The glue I used is one from Daiso. (I don’t have a photo of the eye lashes because I used them)
And for the main part of the look, the lips, I used a deep red. Firstly I used a faux M.A.C lip liner in the colour burgundy to give my lips an outline and because red lipstick can be quite messy. The lipstick I used, is my favourite! It’s from Rimmel London and the colour is 170 Alarm. It’s such a gorgeous red.
I would wear this look out for either a glamorous day look or a beautiful stunning night look.
I’m still learning to ins and outs of make up, colours and different styles. I love this look because it’s simple. To clean up any untidy lines I used a cotton bud and a little bit of concealer to trace around it to make any lines sharp.
Thanks Gangemistyles for this tutorial and giving me the inspiration to create this look on myself. I have no used the same products however it still turns out nicely.
Farewell for another beautiful Aussie day.
